« From product design to production approval – Integrated virtual engineering systems » was the slogan of this year’s conference „Simulation 2014“. The conference organized by Automotive Circle International took place on the 16th and 17th September 2014 at the Technocentre Renault in Guyancourt near Paris. The focus was on new possibilities of virtual technologies in the automotive industry. Especially in early phases, simulation technologies are integral parts in automotive development processes.
In this context, Dr. Clément Zémerli (fleXstructures GmbH) presented his lecture on “An integrated design, assembly and validation process combining human simulation with path planning and flexible components”. Moreover, Dr. Zielinski (BMW) presented a case study of extensive error analyses and cable optimization near the window of the car for which the software IPS Cable Simulation was used.
