On 19th march 2015 the technical seminar „Simulation mechatronischer Produkte und Produktionssysteme“ (simulation of mechatronic products and product systems) took place in Nuremberg, Germany. It was hosted by the institute for manufacturing automation and production systems (FAPS-TT) of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Representatives from industry and research presented the latest developments focused on time and cost reduction during the installation of complex industrial production systems.
In this context, Dr. Eder Santana Annibale (Fraunhofer ITWM) gave a presentation about the simulation of the non-linear behavior of flexible elements like wires and hoses which met with great interest. In addition to this presentation of the theoretical basis of IPS Cable Simulation, we also organized an exhibition with live demonstrations of IPS Cable Simulation which was highly appreciated by the seminar participants.
